A Black Journalist.
I have been a part of the National Association of Black Journalists since my freshmen year of college (2017).

For me, I always thought it was important to be surrounded by people who look like me and want to tell stories, like me.

I am currently a national member of the organization and most recently attended National Convention in Las Vegas August 2022.

A World Traveler.
As a part of the University of Missouri's School of Journalism Study Abroad program, I was able to travel to Costa Rica where I spent two weeks doing environmental journalism work across the country.

This was an exciting opportunity for me as I was able to practice interviewing sources in Spanish. I am currently studying Spanish as my minor at the university.

From the Costa de Pájaros to the cloud forest in Monteverde, I was able to meet and speak to a wide variety of sources from different socioeconomic backgrounds and tell their stories.
A Delta Woman.
I am so blessed and honored to be a part of such a dynamic and historic sisterhood like Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

This is organization was founded to serve communities across the world, emphasizing the need for social action and change.

I am a proud Spring '19 initiate of the Epsilon Psi Chapter. Currently, I'm a member of the Spokane Alumnae Chapter where I've continued to my commitment to service as the Social Action Chair.
